Elizabeth Blair, Account Manager
Elizabeth Blair, a 12-year Internet marketing professional, brings extensive technical knowledge to Odato Marketing Group. Her expertise in web development, including proper database structure, on-line business management and marketing solutions and search engine optimization can turn a company's Web site into a results-driven on-line tool.
Starting out as a graphic designer with a degree from Sarasota's Keiser College, Elizabeth is passionate about working quickly and efficiently. For her first job out of college, she was assigned to work on a lengthy technical manual. She completed it so quickly that her employer put her in charge of the company's Web site. This was during the days when Yahoo was the biggest name in the Internet world, Amazon was just coming into the scene, eBay had just been launched and Google was just another funny word.
Elizabeth, whose personality is to do things right the first time, knew Web site design but she wanted to go further: to go beyond building pretty Web sites, and get her clients real, measurable results through Internet marketing. Since there was no school for that, she studied the search engines, read anything pertaining to the subject, attended seminars, and continued her studies in computer programming and graphic design. She spoke to friends and strangers (who later became her friends) who were working on the ground floor of the Internet marketing industry (programmers who devised some of the smaller search engines like Fetch, Dogpile and Mamma). It was networking at its finest.
She received her associate of science degree from Keiser and served as a project manager at Interserve, Internet Services, for four years and then worked as a developer at AT&T, where she assisted and worked closely with IBM in the transfer of AT&T's e-learning department. Before she joined Odato Marketing Group, she was a project manager at GravityFree.
Elizabeth has been a volunteer for the past nine years with the American Advertising Federation, Fourth District and the local chapter. Elizabeth has currently serves as the fourth district internet chair and has held several positions with the local chapter such as vice president, secretary, ADDY chair, and education chair. She served as the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) consultant for the Sarasota Chamber Technology Alliance, and has volunteered for organizations such as the Suncoast Technology Alliance, Mayors Feed the Hungry, Sarasota Season of Sculpture, Wellness Community, Mote Marine Laboratory, and many others.
Elizabeth works hard, but she sets times aside for music and theater. A proud mother of one, she likes music, plays the cello and attends all types of theater including opera, Cirque du Soleil, concerts and plays.
